There is so much fear and unrest in the world, especially the last few weeks with Russia invading Ukraine.
My children have heritage there, and my memories from history lessons remind me that this nation has often been a desired prize.
As individuals it can make us feel helpless to effect anything in such cases, but maybe we CAN in our own little pieces of the planet.

Breathe in … I can love myself today, just for being alive
Breathe out … I am willing to forgive myself today, just for something small
Breathe in … I can love my neighbor today, just as I love myself
Breathe out … I am willing to forgive my neighbor today, just being willing can be enough.
Breathe in … I am sending love, thoughts, or prayers to those that are struggling today
Breathe out … I will try to do one thing today to do something to support some one who is struggling
Breathing isn’t going to stop the upheaval and unkindness altogether, but maybe, if each of us in our own small and unique ways can bring a little peace to our selves, our homes, our families, neighbors, communities … maybe one kindness, one smile, one breath at a time we can find a little bit of serenity, share a growing, uplifting compassion.
