Jeff & Suzi Quillen

Owners

Born out of a need to create and a desire to nurture wellness in others, Suzi and Jeff Quillen opened Perfectly Knotty at the beginning of 2014 in their hometown of Granite Falls, WA; the whimsical, cozy and nurturing yarn shop relocated to Historic Downtown Arlington WA at the beginning of 2016

With a contagious smile and a gentle attitude, Suzi generously shares her lifelong love of crochet and knitting.

In no time she will have you inspired to create something wonderful for yourself or a loved one.

Learning from her Grandma at an early age, Suzi quickly developed her stitching talents; by the time she was in her twenties she was designing patterns as fine as lace. Reverse engineering damaged heirloom crochet lace became an early specialty.

Toting a hammer and nails from a very young age, Jeff learned from his Grandfather the art of fine woodworking.

As a master craftsman, bringing out the natural beauty of wood is a passion that comes very naturally to Jeff; he lovingly and gently repairs antique furniture, sometimes recreating destroyed pieces out of antique wood scraps that he collects. Maintaining the authenticity of each piece is a focus of preserving its longevity.

Recently Jeff has added refurbishing antique lamps and creating entirely new furniture pieces from reclaimed materials to his creative activities, providing unique furniture items in the shop that will complete the look in your home.

WHAT OUR STITCHERS HAVE TO SAY!

KIND WORDS FROM OUR AMAZING CUSTOMERS

I never leave this store empty handed. Great yarn, great prices, and great project ideas!!!

-Maggie W.

Such great, personal service. Very responsive. A great seller. Received my yarn quickly. She helped me decide on colors by sending additional info and pictures. Suggested another option - turned out to be really good. I will buy from her again.

-Jenna (etsy shop customer)

This is a wonderful yarn shop!! Most good yarn shops carry lots of fabulous yarn, most of which is wool. Suzi specializes in yarn that is allergy friendly!! My hands break out when I knit with wool and now I have a place that carries fabulous yarn that I can work with!

- Shirley

Suzi accommodated private knitting lessons on my schedule. She is a very patient and attentive teacher. I was always welcome to come back for her quick look to identify stitch errors, and helpful tips to get back on track.

-JoAnne

Great little yarn shop that's crochet inclusive as well as allergy friendly. The shop owner's really nice and helpful, as well. Stop in for some yarn, then have a bite at the Blue Bird Cafe (an Arlington tradition) next door for a perfect afternoon.

-Purrl Gurrl

Perfectly Knotty is my go-to for all my yarning needs. This shop focuses on allergy/sensitivity conscience fiber options to indulge our stitching addiction

-Vicki

I love this store! Suzi is super helpful. She has lots of fun and helpful classes and programs for yarn crafters. Plus, I love the unique selection of fiber types.
