This first version of herringbone stitch has different steps, and makes a fabric that has more stretch. It's pretty and has great texture. Give it a try!
This next version on herringbone stitch creates a much tighter fabric with a more traditional herringbone look. It's a little more fatiguing for the hands, and can tolerate a much larger knitting needle that you might think!
It might be interesting to make a sampler, working several inches with one herringbone technique, then several more inches with the other herringbone style to see which effect you like best with your yarn!
I'd LOVE to hear from you!
