Do you have regularly scheduled health care practices?

Typically, Beauregard is on point for hip injection support duties. But since we were all out running errands together, Floyd decided to come in and join in the activity.

Every 14 weeks or so, I get visco supplementation injected into my right hip joint. Some of you may not know that I have congenital hip dysplasia. Yup. That makes me a disabled-woman small business owner, if that matters to you.

What matters to me, is doing the very best that I can to take care of the body I have so that it can take care of me for as long as possible!

I have been getting this treatment done since approximately 2008. I do not have arthritis, which is actually rather remarkable, given my condition and my age! I function almost normally. Every once in a while someone will notice that I am limping, not only from the dysplasia, but that leg is also 3/4" shorter than the other one!

I don't make much of a fuss about it anymore. I will confess that I used to! Wouldn't it used to hurt all the time! But now that I have a good routine with my physiatrist, and a great routine with my trainer, I hardly ever have major disruptive pain.

I'm also completely comfortable sharing about it if there's something you'd like to know!

Today Floyd, Beauregard and I donated a large box of things at the New & Again Thrift Shop in downtown Everett.

They were having a $2 clothing sale, and I managed to find half a dozen good tops to spiff up my fall wardrobe!

This thrift Shop supports Snohomish County Domestic Violence Services. A cause that is near and dear to my heart!

Floyd and I are off to the post office to drop off some order packages, then donate blood and run a couple of other errands.

Because one of my errands is my regularly scheduled hip care appointment, our special friend Beauregard is along for the ride. He always goes with me to the physiatrist.
